Text Box: Telegraph Time
A time and skills exchange in Telegraph Hill Ward
There is already a fair amount of interest in a ‘timebank’ in the Telegraph Hill area. To use it you bank time by doing things you like (and are probably good at) for others in the community. Everyone's time is valued equally. One hour = 1 time credit. And then you withdraw time when you need something done.

Examples of activities: making phone calls, sharing meals, giving lifts to the shops, DIY, help with the kids, exercise partner, being a new parent / grandparent, teaching skills, taking up a hem, gardening, growing vegetables…

Timebanks UK
Timebanks are a well-established means of building community in the UK.
We could have a simple bank book system, in which people getting support sign the notebook that all participants have. Word of mouth would be the means of setting up sessions.
